Frequently Asked Questions
How do you choose the right therapy approach for each client?
Two ways. First, if you’re not sure who you’d like to work with, Adele Fox will talk with you and suggest team members who could be a great fit—she knows her team well. Second, in your first appointment we get clear on what’s going on, what you want to change, and how you like to work. From there we draw on a variety of approaches and tailor them to you, rather than fitting you into one method. If another member of our team is a better match for your needs, we’ll tell you and connect you with them.
How do you build trust and comfort with new clients?
By being real. No judgment, no psychobabble—just honest conversation, a bit of humour when it fits, and a clear explanation of how we’ll work together. We believe you’re the expert on your own life; our job is to help you see what you can’t always see in your rear-view mirror.
How soon can I get an appointment?
With a team of psychologists and counsellors offering daytime, evening and weekend appointments, we can usually see new clients within a week, depending on who you’d like to see.
What qualifications does your team hold?
Our team consists of therapists with psychology, social work, counselling and coaching qualifications and licences. Every team member also has a variety of additional training based on their own interests and skills. You can see each team member’s CV in their bio.
Do you offer both in-person and virtual sessions?
Yes. We offer in-person sessions in Calgary and virtual sessions across Canada.
How do you track and measure progress over time?
We set clear goals together at the start and check in on them regularly, so you can see what’s changing and what still needs work. Where it’s helpful, we use questionnaires to measure change, and we adjust the plan as you go. You’re the expert on you, and you’ll know what’s shifting in a positive direction!
What do sessions cost?
Depending on the clinician, fees range from $180 to $325 for a FULL 60 minutes, including tax. Many extended health plans cover psychological services—check your plan for coverage details.
How do you help clients develop healthy coping skills?
We focus on practical tools you can use the same day, not just insight. That includes managing stress and overthinking, regulating emotions, setting boundaries and building routines that support you. Talking about change isn’t enough; doing things differently is what rewires the brain.
How do you create a safe and supportive therapy environment?
Everything you share is confidential, and you set the pace. Our sessions are a judgment-free space where you can be yourself, ask anything and say what you really think. You’re always in charge of what we work on.
How long is a typical appointment?
The industry standard is a 50-minute session with 10 minutes for note-taking. We provide a FULL 60 minutes of direct client time to maximize your experience.
